Hi Deb,
I'm amazed it's been so long since I put up a post. I'm not sure if I'm lazy or forgetful or both, but I'll give it a try today.
We've had a lovely summer so far with just enough rain to keep everything growing and not too much work with having to water the gardens.
Ken & I took 5 days away at the end of May for a fishing holiday. We rented a boat, and were totally lazy. It was great!
This was the lodge we stayed at:
Here's the fisherman:
And his catch (on the last day, fishing from the dock):
Knitting has been happening, with a number of projects completed since my last post:
I'm very pleased with the way my Royal Tahoe Shawl turned out. Now I need to wear it somewhere nice:
The above picture doesn't show the matching beads throughout the shawl and they're one of my favourite features of the design.
I was surprised and pleased when the designer asked to use a picture of the shawl on the Ravelry page.
That pink baby blanket I knitted for my friends' granddaughter looks much better with her wrapped up in it:
Another project I had fun knitting was a Rainbow Sweater for the adorable dog that belongs to my friends:
The yarn for my Central Park Hoodie finally arrived and I worked hard and long to finish it up. I love the yarn and am disappointed it has been discontinued. I don't yet have a picture of me modeling the sweater, so another picture will have to do:
I think that pretty much catches us up on knitting projects. I'll leave you with some garden pictures, which never fail to brighten my day:
How are things progressing with the cabin? Have you moved out there yet?
